Australia on a Silver Platter defines culinary tourism as Gastronomy: gourmet food and wine tasting combined with travel. We highlight food and wine tours or trails for travellers without wheels in Australia only. We search for organic and epicurean ingredients to enhance menus or home cooking. We incorporate Cookery: Australians and visitors to Australia for training or learning the basics of culinary art at Culinary Institutes, Cooking Schools or Cooking Classes. We include bush food or bush tucker, Australian bush food tours and Aboriginal bush tucker tours. To complement, we also feature Latest News, Events, Awards, the Outback, Cookbooks, Travel Guides and Travel Tips.

How we do it
- We list and profile on our blog, at no cost, culinary schools (part of education and training), cooking classes, food and wine tours including bush tucker, bush tucker tours and Aboriginal bush tucker tours, Culinary awards and events, and Latest News in Australia to assist in the development of culinary tourism, for information purposes only.
- We constantly search for all of the above and may contact you via email for further details.
- We offer temporarily links for the ones who submit material and photos and for other reasons.
- We list name of product and contact details. We ask permission to use content from your website
- Due to the vast area that we are covering, we can only feature a certain number of the above at one time. We endeavour to up-date our material as often as possible
- We welcome and encourage the culinary and travel industries to link to us in order to spread the word more quickly
- Other Events are also featured to incite visitors to also seize the opportunity to sample our culinary delights
